The ICRC Analysis and Evidence (A&E) Unit is seeking a highly capable Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Officer to join our team in Kyiv. In this role, the GIS Officer will provide technical support to A&E Coordinators and senior A&E Specialists across a range of areas, including needs assessments, monitoring and evaluation, situation and problem analysis, and operational information management. The position plays a key role in ensuring that ICRC programmes at the delegation or sub-structure level are evidence-based, context-sensitive, and outcome-oriented.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of delegation-level Analysis & Evidence (A&E) strategies and contribute to team priorities
- Assist in conducting needs assessments, GIS analysis, situation and problem analysis, and developing monitoring frameworks and logic models in line with A&E standards
- Contribute to the design of multidisciplinary, people-centered programmes in collaboration with other departments
- Organize and deliver trainings and workshops on A&E approaches for ICRC staff and National Society partners
- Facilitate programme reviews, lessons-learned workshops, and the documentation of best practices
- Ensure the integration of gender perspectives and accountability to affected populations across all A&E activities
- Represent the ICRC in A&E-related meetings, workshops, and networks at the regional and global levels

About you
To be successful as a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Officer in the Analysis and Evidence Unit, you should possess the following qualifications and experiences and have the following characteristics:
- Ukrainian citizenship or permanent residence permit in Ukraine
- University degree in Economics, Statistics, Social Sciences, GIS, Political Science, or similar field
- Typically, 3-5 years of professional experience in needs assessments, monitoring & evaluation, operational information management, or a closely related area
- Proven experience in supporting surveys and multiple assessments, including the design, data collection, and analysis of desired
- Relevant experience in a humanitarian organization is an asset
- Proven knowledge of ArcGIS essential
- Understanding of coding languages an advantage
- Experience in analyzing, interpreting, and presenting geospatial information for decision making
- Good command (written and spoken) of English, Ukrainian
- Computer literate, including sound knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Self-motivated with a strong commitment to teamwork and humanitarian principles
- Flexible, enthusiastic, and willing to learn
- Ability to work independently, as well as effectively under supervision
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks
