Role Overview:

We are offering a free internship for a Geospatial Data Engineer to support our mapping and drone data teams. This internship is available both in-person at our office in Shaikpet, Hyderabad (500008) and remote for candidates who are unable to work on-site. The internship provides an excellent opportunity for freshers and students to gain hands-on experience with geospatial data and drone technology in a professional environment. Internship is about 3 - 6 months.

Interns will have the chance to work on real-world GIS projects, drone data processing, and spatial analysis, all while being mentored by industry experts.

Responsibilities:

Data Processing: Work with drone data and GIS software to analyze spatial information.

Map Creation: Generate 2D/3D maps using GIS platforms like ArcGIS, Pix4D, and DJI Terra.

Spatial Analysis: Assist with spatial data analysis and produce reports.

UAV/Drone Data: Process and analyze UAV data for mapping and land planning.

Field Operations Support: Assist in data collection and field-based GIS analysis (for in-person interns).

Learning & Training: Participate in internal seminars, webinars, and training sessions.

Mentorship: Learn from and be mentored by experienced GIS engineers.

Requirements:

Currently pursuing a degree in GIS, Civil Engineering, Geography, or a related field.

Basic understanding of GIS platforms such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or AutoCAD.

Basic knowledge of drone technologies and UAV data processing.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Interest in spatial analysis, mapping, and data visualization.

Eagerness to learn and contribute to live projects.

Good communication skills to work in a team environment.

For remote interns, must have access to necessary hardware and software for GIS work (such as ArcGIS, QGIS, etc.) and a stable internet connection.

Preferred Skills:

Familiarity with Python for GIS automation.

Web GIS application knowledge (Frontend: HTML, CSS, JavaScript).

Knowledge of Mapping APIs like Google Maps or Mapbox.

Basic understanding of AWS or similar cloud hosting platforms.

LiDAR basics and experience with drone flight planning are a plus.
