About this position:

The GIS Analyst will work in the GIS database inputting pipeline centerlines, attributes, and features from GPS and as-built drawings. The GIS analyst will input data into the GIS database, generate reporting, executing data tools and analysis, assist with risk analysis, develop end-user efficient displays, develop applications for data gathering, and assist in building the necessary functionality into the GIS system. Aid with developing policy and procedures for maintaining accurate present-day and historical data.

About this job:

  • Basic knowledge of natural gas pipelines and pipeline systems
  • Facilitate, manage and execute project activities for a variety of GIS and data migration projects
  • Evaluate existing data and processes and develop action plans for migration to enterprise GIS
  • Troubleshoot issues with both GIS software and user interfaces
  • Work with engineering and other departments on required documentation for efficient data entry, annual reports, tax jurisdictions, and risk analysis.
  • Prepare and perform product demonstrations
  • Consult on new projects and implementations.
  • Provide support for both client GIS office staff and field technicians
  • Input data into the GIS database structure
  • Generate pipeline and facility locations in GIS database
  • Create applications for field use that drive efficient processes and accurate data collection

  • Demonstrate and maintain a good safety record
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures especially in regard to Security
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, GIS, or closely related field. Equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered
  • At least 3+ Years of practical GIS Analysist experience and a Certified GIS Professional (GISP) is a plus
  • Practical working knowledge of ArcGIS software suite, Esri Field Maps, Survey123, Python, SQL tools, and ACAD suite.
  • Must be proficient in maintaining spatial databases and database integrity in enterprise GIS applications, data hierarchy, data schema, linear asset management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in GIS analysis
  • Must possess strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge of gas design parameters and codes a plus
  • Exceptional Communication Skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to multi-task with exceptional time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and deadline driven environment
