You would be part of:
- Drone data processing - Image processing and Photogrammetry
- Preparation of topographical/planimetry maps
- GIS operations and automation
- Project handling including process definition, execution and quality control
- Preparing GIS layers, applications and data sets
- Analyzing various operations within the company to determine issues and adapt GIS applications to suit
- Maintaining databases and ensuring that these databases are up to date and accurate
We expect you to:
- Have some experience with mapmaking, surveying and computers
- Demonstrate a keen understanding of spatial data and algorithms
- Show the ability to enter data quickly, correctly and efficiently
- Understand how to convert data from older sources such as maps and books into digital formats
- Understand how to create and edit metadata
- Possess the ability to build models in order to create an efficient workflow
- Demonstrate a vast knowledge of cartography and at least some understanding of graphic design
- Have knowledge of drone data processing using software such as Agisoft Metashape, Pix4D or reality modelling/photogrammetry software
- Have a demonstrated experience in Lidar/Drone point cloud data preprocessing (classification, edge matching etc.) to generate a seamless classified point cloud
- Have Knowledge of the best parameter set for point cloud classification and recording macros
- Have practical experience in processing large scale LiDAR or drone data into Digital Terrain Models (DTM) for urban, rural, hydrology and mining use cases
- Be an expert in working with Intergraph/DATEM/Micro station - Terra Solid, Terra Model & Cloud Compare
- Be experienced in large scale planimetry map preparation
- Be experienced in working with GIS Software such as Global Mapper, ArcGIS, QGIS and AutoCAD
- Be experienced in QA/QC of spatial data sets
You are awesome if you have
- Worked on drone datasets (2D & 3D)
- Knowledge of GIS Software - Global Mapper, QGIS, ArcGIS
- Experienced with photogrammetric processing tools such as Pix4D, Agisoft Metashape, Bentley Context Capture, Cloud Compare, Microstation etc.,
- Working knowledge of BIM and its integration with Point clouds and Surface Models
Desired Skills:
Pix4D, AgiSOFT, DATEM Summit Evolution, Cloud Compare, ArcGIS, QGIS, Global Mapper, Microstation & AutoCAD.
